ゴジラ生誕20周年記念作品。ブラックホール第3惑星人がゴジラそっくりのロボット、メカゴジラを使い地球侵略を企てる。ゴジラはアンギラスとともに迎え撃つが返り撃ちに遭う。しかし沖縄の伝説怪獣キングシーサーがよみがえり、ゴジラとともに逆襲に転じる。メカゴジラのキャラクターが大好評を博す。
